In recent years, tablets, social medias, and other various information and communication technologies (ICT) have been implemented as educational, learning tools in places of education and learning. In order for the implemented ICT tools to be effective, however, education and the educational environment needs to be designed with consideration to the situation (context of use) and characteristics of educators and learners. In educational technology (learning environment design), the objective is to implement what we learn in reality. What we learn is how to verify the benefits and identify the perspectives and theories necessary to design education and the place of learning towards efficiently and effectively using ICT.
